Show Overview

Our performances feature 3-6 skilled artists executing choreographed routines set to music. This arrangement ensures both optimal visual impact and dedicated fire safety supervision throughout the show.

Performance Props

Our artists utilize a variety of specialized fire performance equipment:

Fire Poi

  • Standard: 4" tall × 2" wide Kevlar wicks attached to 2-foot chains with handles

  • Snake Variant: Features 18" of woven Kevlar on chains

  • Both styles remain connected to performers' hands during use

Fire Staffs

  • Primary Staff: 5-7-foot aluminum rod (1" diameter) with 3-7 wicks of 2" Kevlar on each end

  • Dual Wielding: 3-foot staffs with double 2" wicks at each end, used in pairs

Fire Bullwhips

  • 6-foot woven Kevlar construction

  • Creates dramatic 2-6 foot fireballs during initial whip cracks

  • Effect produced by white gas propulsion during acceleration

Fire Hula Hoop

  • 4-foot diameter plastic pipe construction

  • Features 6 equidistant metal staves with 2" × 2" wicks

  • Wrapped in protective electrical tape

Fire Rings

  • 12-inch handheld rings

  • Crown-like design with multiple fire staves

  • 2" thick wicks

Fire Rope Torch

  • Martial arts-inspired design similar to Japanese rope dart

  • 6-foot rope connects two handheld torches

  • 2" wicks on each torch end

Fire Breathing

  • Utilizes lamp oil

  • Produces vertical and horizontal flame patterns

  • Range: 1-22 feet in height

Safety Protocols

Fuel Types

Flame Control Methods

  1. Dampened cloth

  2. Multiple CO2 fire extinguishers (20#,15#, 10#, and 5# units)

  3. Airtight containment containers

Performance Space Requirements

  • Main performance area: 20-25 feet × 20-25 feet

  • Dedicated extinguishing zone in rear

  • Minimum 15-foot separation between fueled and extinguished props

Audience Safety

  • 15-foot safety easement required

  • Fire Line Tape and stakes available for marking safety zone

  • Alternative barrier methods welcome if preferred

Equipment Management

  • Props transported in secured trailer

  • Fueling conducted at trailer location

  • Vehicle/trailer parking required near performance space

  • Pre-fueled props maintained 15+ feet from performance and extinguishing areas
